You guys, I started working on this bathroom over a year ago and I’m so excited to finally “reveal” the space! I’ve been tweaking things for ages so you might have already seen everything on my Instagram (it IS a tiny space!) But it’s fun to do a side by side comparison to see how far it has come!
I can’t even remember it looking like this!!! The floor was super dingy vinyl, the toilet was sqautty and falling apart and there was weird faux textured wallpaper.
I started out by painting everything WHITE, which was an instant improvement! Then I used these tongue & groove cedar planks from Home Depot and installed them on the bottom half of the walls. I am so obsessed with the way it looks, I LOVE WOOD!
One of the biggest changes we made was updating the flooring- after we installed a new toilet we ripped up the vinyl and added sexy hexy tiles with white grout. I LOVED the grout when we first installed it but very quickly learned that white grout is literally the worst idea ever for such a high traffic area. I have recolored it white twice and am thinking about darkening it to save my sanity. 😅 The cute little (faux) sheepskin helps distract me though!
I made a super simple end grain knob for the cabinet and I ended up loving it so much that I ended up using the same knobs throughout the camper.
My Frida print is probably my favorite thing in the space, my grandma gave it to me and it makes me smile everytime I see it. I like to pull the blues out of it with little details- the curtain that we replaced the door with, the little spray bottle and the basket above the toilet.
I struggled with a toilet paper holder for a long time before whipping up this guy with some copper refrigerator coil and my fav material- a wood dowel! 😂
It ties in really nicely with the toilet brush holder & the copper planter I hung next to my Fridas!
Ugh, I love this little space so much! Here’s one more side by side just for kicks-
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this transformation as much as I do!
